I have wanted to try this restaurant many times but never pulled the trigger until I saw the opportunity to make a reservation through Yelp. A couple of clicks and I had a table for 2 reserved for Tuesday, July 5th at 7:45pm. Arrived at 7:35pm and greeted with a sign in the window that said the restaurant was closed on July 5th and to visit their sister restaurant. Not that we went hungry given the choices downtown Charlotte, but missed the opportunity to get a reservation at another restaurant we were going to try.
Not sure whether the blame here lies with Malabar or Yelp, but I presume with an electronic reservation system you can indicate days on which the restaurant is closed.
