  • A true Charlotte gem. I love this place. Most likely you've driven by it without stopping. It's right in Southend, across from Atherton Mill, next to Chipotle. It's a mom and pop shop--with a small parking lot and an old-school feel. The interior is small, but they have fit as much seating as possible without it being too stuffy. There are plenty of outdoor seating options as well. When you first walk in the counter directly in front of you is where you'll order, pay, get your ice cream and watch your burgers being cooked! That's right, the grill is right out in the open. It's a genuine diner experience. Mr. K's knows how to make the originals, and they haven't tried to steer away from that. Go for a burger, fries and shake. You won't regret it. I love this place!
