  • It is hard to find quaint, unique dining sometimes in our western end of the Valley of the Sun, but this place is a gem. It is a precious little restaurant in Surprise. The place has very high ceilings and yet feels cozy at the same time. Diners are surrounded by book shelves with all of the books being up for sale, as well as a little boutique featuring pieces from local artists and crafters. I have had both breakfast and lunch here with groups of people and everyone has loved their food. The sandwiches are the BEST! What a great place to grab a bite. From their website - "Every purchase at Birt's helps to fund Benevilla programs and services, providing care and support for older adults, disabled adults, children, and the families who care for them." Eating here helps others. How wonderful! Give it a try.
