The food here is a 3.5 for me. Even though I am not a huge fan of pork I still went with the house speciality hire katsu and the chicken katsu. I also ordered the cucumber crab salad with kewpie dressing and a side of curry. Kewpie dressing is normally creamy and nutty this dressing was not.
The panko batter on both the chicken and pork was light and crunchy. I liked the chicken more because the pork lacked flavor. The curry was no different than the curry bars I have used at home. The rice was overcooked and mushy. I did like the well developed flavor profile of the miso soup and the ginger dressing on the salad was refreshing.
I was going to order the green tea cheesecake but after seeing the pictures showing the tiny sliver of cheesecake accompanied by a big scoop of ice cream I chose to pass.
