| - AVOID ON SUNDAYS.
I love museums, in general, but this would have been better advertised as a 'ghost town'. Totally not worth $10 for a bunch of empty buildings. We spent 1.5 hours walking around and viewing everything that was open.
We waited for the 'gunfight' for 15 minutes, then called the office and asked about it and were told the 'volunteers don't work on Sundays'. Of course, they don't tell you this when you're paying. (There is a permanent sign that says 'next gunfight is 11:30' that they apparently never take down or adjust for days there isn't one.) So, if you're expecting BBQ, gunfights, people in period costume as advertised for a 'LIVING HISTORY' museum, hayrides, trolley rides, you're going to be disappointed.
Its all about your expectations. If you paid $5 and just were there to see a variety of late-1800's buildings and other stuff, it would probably be OK. If you're expecting all the cool stuff and don't get it - VERY disappointing.
