  • You can tell this is a real Chinese restaurant. How? Every time you go, you see the same little kid doing her homework at a small table by herself. Lol. The food is pretty standard, but good. We were introduced to this place by friends of ours. After our favorite Chinese restaurant changed hands, we were in need of a replacement. Luckily for us, they had found this place. It's tucked away in the corner of a shopping plaza that looks a bit deserted; pretty simple to miss if you were driving by. Once you walk in, you see this old skool cash register...straight up vintage, probably circa 1952. I definitely appreciate how clean it is. The owners take pride in their restaurant. Normally, Chinese restaurants lack both cleanliness and ambiance. The restaurant is beautifully decorated. And the service is outstanding! The first time we went there, I asked a lady who was waiting on a to-go order what she recommended. She said the Mongolian beef, which we did order. She was right; it was good. Full flavored, and incredibly tender beef. I was thrilled bc I was able to get honey walnut shrimp. If that's a dish you haven't tried, you are missing out. I also recommend an order of their chicken wings under "Appetizers". To enjoy a sampling of their food, we'll order the family meals. Expect to leave with leftovers. I recommend the Dragon Dinner Special. The wor wonton soup that comes with it seems to differ slightly from the one offered with the Mandarin Dinner special. If you're not used to bamboo shoots, you may dislike the wor wonton soup offered with the latter. My husband said it had a weird after taste to him. I didn't notice bc I like bamboo shoots. The next day, the flavor of the bamboo shoots was more noticeable. As a word of caution: don't order an extra meal with the family style dinners. It'll just be overkill. And, you won't have any room on the table.
