A few hours after leaving the location without receiving service, I got a voicemail and a few texts from Pete, the operations manager. Very nice man. He apologized repeatedly and was sincere about it.
I brought up the fact their installer (who it turns out has his own business and contracts work from Safepro) is driving in a vehicle with illegal tint and Pete agreed that was wrong. Moreover, this installer never apologized to me about not showing up.
Pete offered to do the tint at no cost to me. I considered and in turn decided to get a check for the value of the service and have the work done somewhere else. During our conversation it transpired their tint guy, Gilbert, has another guy that does the work sometimes, which I found strange since their customer service never even hinted to that.
It would have been nice to give my business to this company and put a 5 star review on Yelp but in the end, as a matter of principle, I cannot stand the fact they associate themselves with an individual who breaks the law every time he drives his truck. It would not be a stretch to conclude he also installs illegal tint should the customer request it. Total lack of respect for the law and our wonderful police officers.
