  • I see that I didn't do a check in to prove that I was here. I stayed two nights at the Boulder Dam Hotel in February 2017. It's a small hotel with personalized service. The receptionist is so proud of "her" hotel, she gave us a small tour, showing us the newly renovated Shirley Temple room. So sweet. One we saw our rooms, we have christened them the "Howard Hughes Suite" - very retro styling, very world traveller themed. We had adjoining rooms as there was three of us. Nicely appointed, comfy beds with new linens, newly renovated bathrooms. It was a wonderful place to stay, not a chain (a pet peeve of mine). Breakfast is included in the price of the room, and served in the dining room off the lobby. This is NOT your chain breakfast! Nice waitress service, fresh coffee, breakfast made to order from the special menu. Or order from the full menu for a few dollars off the price. If you want to stay near Vegas, but without the hustle and bustle of the city, this is only about a 30 minute drive out of the city.
