We liked it enough to bring friends on our second visit.
Ambiance: 3 stars
First off, I find this place to be unique as its in an old home that's been converted to a restaurant. The space between tables and the table tops are small and the noise level is load. I suggest a reservation if you don't want to wait along time to be seated. It's quaint.
Food: 4 stars
The four of us had three rounds of Shrimp and grits and one dish of the vegetarian plate (not on the menu, special request). We all agreed, the grits had a very good taste with the cheese and creole sauce but they were a little runny this time around. We all enjoyed the andouille sausages, but the blackened grilled shrimp had a taste to it that we couldn't make out, and didn't enjoy. I ate 3 of 8 and left the rest, same for my wife. Our guest ate his but kept making a comment that he couldn't identify the odd taste.
Service: 5 stars
Our waiter was friendly but distant, apologized if he had to interrupt our conversation and was quick to keep our drinks filled. Plates were quickly cleared and food came to us hot.
Extras:
Valet parking is free, but bring a few bucks tip.
