A pretty chill bar to hang out with some friends. Love that it has activities like billiards and darts and a nice big patio area with plenty of seating.
Beer was a miss tonight. The Moosehead was on special, $5 for a pint ~ after a long day of softball, I was so looking forward to drinking the antlers (it's one of my fave beers). Unfortunately, all of our beers were flat...so disappointing. Some of us had to ask to switch for a Barking Squirrel, while others at our table just decided to suffer through it.
After the beer issue, I also noticed my cutlery had dried food encrusted on them. I didn't want to complain again, so I just cleaned it myself at the table.
Not a lover of the food. I ordered fish and chips and my friend ordered the cobb salad and a poutine. The fish was just mediocre... I didn't think it was worth the $16. I've had better. Fries were mushy and not very hot. The poutine was also underwhelming - it was the same mushy fries swimming in gravy and cheese curds. I did like the cobb salad though, as it had a generous amount of blue cheese. Love blue cheese. Felt everything was a little overpriced for what you get.
Women's washroom stalls very tight - the one I was in had an inward opening door which almost touched the toilet when open. I couldn't figure out where I was expected to stand in order to get out. Had to basically hop over the toilet.
I guess the only reason I would go back is if I have another softball game in the area, and probably only for drinks or shared appetizers.
