| - Writing this review really late, but better late than never. So I came in to the emergency room early 2017 with excruciating right flank pain. I came in by ambulance, and was given a mix of different pain medications while with the paramedics.
I arrived at the hospital, and the pain medications were already wearing off. The hospital gave me some medications, including Zofran and Ketorolac. It worked pretty well, I know the Ketorolac has anti-inflammatory properties. No complaints there. They did an x-ray and drew some blood. I was having trouble urinating, possibly do to kidney stones, and one of the nurses told me she was going to straight cath me like she was trying to threaten me. I was able to urinate finally. They said I had hematuria, blood in my urine. Indicative of kidney stones. Yet they didn't to a CT scan? They told me I had "probably" passed the stone since I was no longer complaining of pain, but I'm sure the Ketorolac was the reason I wasn't in pain in that moment.
So the doctor comes in to tell me information about kidney stones. Gives me a script for Zofran, and sends me on my way.
Later that night I get the same excruciating pain, and I have that pain for an entire week. I self medicated with Motrin. I went to a UMC quick care later that week, they told me I had blood in my urine still. So my conclusion was I didn't pass any stones, Southern Hills Hospital didn't properly treat me, and I was left to suffer for an entire week.
So why didn't you guys do a CT scan on me? Didn't send me home with a script for Ketorolac? Negligence. Very unpleased with this hospital.
