| - ** This second review is for Marquee DAYclub **
Marquee is located inside the Cosmopolitan on the second floor. The line moves pretty steadily, and after they take your ticket/check your name off, you take the elevator up to the club. This dayclub has a pretty nice layout. There are two main pools and three bars, and of course a bunch of tables/cabanas around the perimeter and in the middle. The DJ stage is prominently in front of the last bar, and it's pretty easy to see from the biggest pool and all the tables. Also, I was pretty happy that there were plenty of places to find shade, and that one of the bars was inside and air conditioned.
Like most dayclubs, they provide you with towels, and you can purchase a locker to store your things safely. If you bring a bag that they deem "too big," they'll force you to buy a locker. A smart thing to do would be to buy a waterproof phone pouch to wear around your neck - that way you can carry your valuables (phone, card, ID, cash) on your person while you leave your clothes to the side.
TICKETS: If you are female, most likely you can get in for free! Males, don't lose hope, sometimes the guestlist allows for even ratio parties to get in as well. Make sure to book through a legit promoter; mine was Koco Nicole - (702) 420-6878 and she actually promotes through Marquee and responds quickly and gave me all the info I needed.
DRINKS: There was an open bar for ladies, so luckily I didn't have to pay for anything, but some guy paid $22 for two cans of Corona Light! I think that's basically highway robbery. My only problem was that one bartender ignored the girls with open bar wristbands until it was past the time...but I do understand why he did that and I'm not going to complain about the free drinks I already downed.
Marquee doesn't disappoint as a dayclub. It is definitely fun to experience, and a surefire way to beat the heat.
