  • Horizon animal hospital and Dr.Penn saved my vizslas life. We went to multiple vets before and they ran many tests and could not determine what our pup had. Our vizsla ended up having leptospirosis from a doggy day care (we assume), and it has not been found often in Arizona in 20 plus years! Thankfully Dr. Penn ran a test for it based on our pups symptoms and we were shocked that it came back positive, but thankful Dr. Penn was knowledgeable about the symptoms to run the test. We got him on antibiotics right away and he is doing much better. Without this our pup was on his way to further kidney failure and much more. In addition to saving our pups life we were able to connect with the doggy day care and save many other dogs lives who also had been diagnosed following our dogs positive test (some who had no symptoms and others that did). I guess leptospirosis is now back in Arizona, but I'm just so very thankful for Horizon helping solve this and save our baby.
