| - Bang-On! was a revelation when it first opened. I think that this was still in a world that had not yet been completely oversaturated with slogan-emblazoned clothing, but who can say for sure? A world in which American Apparel t-shirts were not yet featured in their own store down the street and seemed like a great, well-kept secret (okay, now *that* can't be right...).
Over the years I have purchased many great, iconic transfers of great, iconic icons like David Bowie, Blondie (yeah, I know, real original), and Elvis Costello (which I was very excited to find), and had them transfered onto a candy-coloured shirt of my choice, while I waited!
As I said, the thrill packed by the power to write funny stuff on your shirt has been dulled a bit by the sheer, oppressive volume of shirts that already come that way- pretty much any way you can imagine- but it is still really fun to go in and do it like they did in the olden days. I dare you to go in and try to choose just one iron-on out of the bunch, cuz I guarantee you'll be in there at least 5 times as long as you were planning to.
