No hate for Circus Circus, I just didn't absolutely love it.
Might have something to do with the clown on the big sign out front.
I'm the opposite of Eve who rapped, "Clowns: I spot 'em and I can't stop laughin'" ("Let Me Blow Ya Mind"). And this is the part where you reply, "I don't think she meant THOSE types of clowns." Either way I might sucker punch both kinds.
This is definitely one of the cheapest resorts on the Strip.
Our room was clean and tidy except for the very dirty, worn out carpet and the little sugar ants in the bathroom. (Not too many and usually my skin crawls like crazy at the sight of one, but I kept thinking of Paul Rudd's "Antman" character.)
Older kids who can ride most of the rides will appreciate the Adventuredome. Younger kids will like the Midway and the free circus acts.
TIP
- try the RTC transit ($8 per person for 24 hours) to travel up and down the strip. It's a bus route, but it's relatively easier than trying to find parking (if you're anti-valet like me) and certainly better than walking for some people. Our kids, ages 3 and 4, rode free. Since my in-laws are not tech savvy, they asked me to use my phone for all of our e-tickets. Quick and easy. Download the apps: https://www.rtcsnv.com/transit/
