  • First time to have Ethiopian food. Service: Excellent. The waiter and waitress were both very friendly. They explained how to eat Ethiopian food (use the "injera" bread to pick up the "wat" stew), gave suggestions on what to order, and joked with us (like, they joked about extra charge if their food is eaten with a fork). Food: Excellent. The wat is kind of like Indian curry, which is a little bit spicy (just right). We ordered a combination to share between two of us. Lots of food. We ended up taking the rest back for dinner. The injera has a lightly sour taste (as it was made with sour dough) when we ate it by itself. It is worth to mention the special Ethiopian coffee that came in a clay-pot. Excellent coffee. One pot was more than enough for both of us. Atmosphere: Causal and relaxing. I rate Cafe Lalibela a "worth to come back" restaurant.
