(4.5) I came to The Mission with my dad and the ambiance, food and service were everything my dad hyped them up to be. The southwest, adobe style decor is so beautiful and authentic.
We both started with a margarita - the classic for him and the blood orange for me. The acidity of the blood orange in the margarita was delicious. Later we switched to wine, chosen from their extensive wine list. My parents had told me the table side guac was a must so we, of course, shared that before diving into our tacos. The server made the guac just to our liking - with a little bit of a kick but not too much. And it was the perfect portion for two people to share.
For mains, we both ordered the mahi mahi tacos which were superb. The breading on the tacos was super light and you can tell the corn tortillas are made in house. So delicious!
If you aren't a fan of dark restaurants - and by darke I mean darker than your standard nighttime mood lighting - you may not like this because it's very dark inside. We didn't mind it but needed a flashlight from time to time to see the menu and bill.
Overall great service and yummy, authentic food - did not disappoint!
