  • Just as good as I remembered. I used to eat at D & C all the time when I lived here. It reminded me of Chicago when I got homesick. I'm a longtime, card-carrying (although "there's an app for that") Lettuce Entertain You Frequent Diner Member, so any chance to add points to my ever-growing balance, I'm all for it. The fact that I already love Don & Charlie's makes it even better. The food is great; it's classic American, but very well executed. The service is top-notch, and the atmosphere is lively and nostalgic. If you're a sports fan, it has tons of sports memorabilia. Like every inch of this place is covered with it. It has that perfectly relaxed old-school vibe. For Chicagoans (and there's certainly no shortage of those in PHX/Scottsdale), this is a little slice of home.
