| - It's like Beyonce was like, "Oh hey, AMC--let me upgrade ya."
How I missed this theater renovation is beyond me. I've been over-paying for mediocre movie experiences until one magical day...
That day was about a month in a half ago when the most handsome guy schooled me on what a theater experience should be. From the ticket purchasing process, the concession counter and bar, to the comfortable, recliners you sit in--holy ish. How did I not know about this?!
This is coming from a gal who had actually been to this theater before, but years ago when it was still just a cruddy, below-average place. Sticky floors, outdated equipment and the usual concession snacks. What it is now is a complete 180 from even the "better" theaters I thought I was visiting locally. **Cough, Valley View, cough, cough** Honestly, I'd even skip Crocker Park.
Now back to the details. You don't have to wait in line to grab a ticket. Nope! Just head to one of the many kiosks to grab your assigned seats. Yep--you get to pick your seats! But don't worry if you have to sit right next to strangers, the recliners are huge and there's ample space between patrons. Another pro-tip: popular movies and/or popular movie-going nights call for pre-ordered tickets. Don't say I didn't warn you!
Can we talk about the full bar? I didn't partake the first time around, but I'll certainly be taking advantage from now on. They also offer up traditional snacks and "movie foods" with a few extra specialities you wouldn't expect.
And then, you sit down. YES. So much yes. This is pretty much what a theater/movie experience should have been all along. So glad AMC caught on (finally).
