  • This is my 3rd business trip here in the last decade. Though every time I come back it is forgettable and being here today I see why. The rooms are tiny for something I booked which was labelled "suite". The bathrooms need maintenance (caulk is moldy or completely missing). The first room I had last night they had to switch out because the fan was making a loud noise. There is no light switch by the front door. I had to use the flashlight on my phone to see (it was dark out when I arrived) and turn the light on in the bathroom. Lamps on the bed end tables have a switch on the lamp but do not see how one is supposed to turn them on in the dark. I've never used the resort amenities as I'm always here on business but perhaps on this trip I'll try and that will make a difference. The room rate is inexpensive but that doesn't matter to me as my company is paying the bill. There is a tiny fridge in the closet but no microwave. The Hilton Garden Inn provides both. The lid off the coffee maker where the water goes in flipped off and onto the floor this morning. Poor hotel needs some maintenance and upkeep. The one thing that brings me back on the few times I need to come to Phoenix is the location. Love being near the mountains and there are great outdoor running routes. But yesterday I got caught in rush hour from the airport and the drive was a bear so maybe next time I'll read my review and try a different Hilton property in the area.
