  • Only gonna talk about the poker room itself here, not about my gambling habits :) One of the nicer poker rooms along the strip. It's in the venetian, so it's very clean and the clientele obviously a bit on the higher end. Lots of tables in the room. I've only played on the weekends, so not sure what the room is like on the weekdays, but there are always some tables at play 24/7. There is no jackpot in the room (which I like), so takes one less dollar out of the pot. Also, the rake in general is pretty good here. Other casinos take a ridiculous rake even on the 1/3 games. There the rake levels are much better, so players don't have to worry about rake taking a toll on them during the long run. Also, you get $2/hr with the grazzi card, which is one of the higher rates from a poker room. Also sometimes unknown is the hotel poker player rate. Log in over 6 hours of play and tell the front desk. Depending in the room rate and other requirements, the rate can get knocked down to below $200! Dealers are very good here and generally very friendly. Some don't like to talk, but most do. You'll see them chat with the regulars, so you'll know who at the table is a local pro or not. You can order food from the servers around and it comes from the Grand Luxe, and is top notch for the price. Portion sizes are very generous so you'll never go hungry. While the food is good, the cocktail waitresses that walk around the room can be hit or miss. Sometimes a table can go without drink service for over an hour and will upset many of the players at the table, making them real grouchy. I may be a bit partial, but this is generally the place I like to play, especially for 2/5 NL or bunch of low stake omaha games.
