| - So, once again, Yelp! insists I didn't include enough detail in my review and removed it. I thought these were reviews, not term papers. What's next, footnotes? APA? Beckett Tax was happy to take our money and file our taxes for a number of years. We moved and had our property in storage. We received a notice of money due of over $1k from a return Beckett Tax filed in 2015. We immediately took the IRS form to Beckett Tax. Duane made a copy and insisted he could do nothing about it until we brought him the return with all the documentation, all of which was in storage. We finally got our records out of storage. I took all the returns from 2013 to 2016 which Beckett Tax had filed. In addition, we received a notice of audit from our state's Department of Revenue for Unemployment Insurance. We received a call from Duane stating he really doesn't do that, that he couldn't find the notice he made a copy of and filed in his desk drawer, I watched him as he did it, and only wanted to file our return for 2017 and charge us again. Really? Why? If I wanted that kind of service I would file myself, or go to H&R Block and take my desperate chances. I thought we hired and paid an accountant and not just a money sucking form processor. So, be forewarned Beckett Tax is NOT an accounting form, they are JUST a private version of H&R Block. When it comes to crunch time, Beckett Tax doesn't know anything and doesn't take responsibility, even for clients with years of filings. You can do better than Beckett Tax. We just have, and are VERY pleased with our new accountant, who even though having NEVER filed a return for us, had taken responsibility and ownership of all our tax issues, been responsive, and professional. Rest assured I will be writing a very positive review of them after tax season. Yelp! I hope you like this one, too!!!
