  • Well, I guess the best place to start with anything is usually the beginning, so here goes. I called this establishment to get an appointment to have the rear tire on my motorcycle replaced. The guy I talked to, Sam, said no problem and gladly helped me out. He asked if I could bring the motorcycle in on a Wednesday and pick it up on Thursday morning. I explained to him that I worked 3rd shift and lived over an hour away so it was just easier for me to get an "early as possible" appointment and just wait. He said that they opened at 8:30 AM on Wednesday, Thanksgiving Eve, and if I brought the bike in he would have it done first thing. So I arrive on Wednesday morning about 12 minutes late, 8:42 AM, my fault, can't even make an excuse, I was just running late. As I was checking the bike in I told the service guy that was helping me I had a set of rear brake pads for the bike. I asked him since they would have the caliper off already could they put the new pads on. He said they could but they would have to charge me. I completely understood. They have to charge something or people would constantly ask them to perform other services and try to get it for free. "No problem", I said "how much?" "$44.00", he replied. WHAT! Honestly I could see $10 or $15, but $44. The caliper is already off and you literally have to take one bolt out, drop the old pads, compress the piston, put new pads in and replace said bolt. The entire process would take less than 5 minutes and they want $44! "I will do it myself." As I was getting ready to walk away they guy checking me in said, "You are waiting correct?" I told him that I would be waiting on the bike. After checking the bike in, signing the paper work, etc. it was just after 9:00 am. I hung out at the dealership wondering about and looking at the new bikes. At 10:20 AM I walked back to the service department to check on my bike. I went up to the large glass window they have looking out over the garage and I could see my bike up on the lift, saddle bags off and a rear tire on it. I noticed the mechanic walking from one side to the other looking at the bike. He then went and grabbed another mechanic and they both stood there looking at the bike. The first guy then comes into the service department and grabs another guy out of the office to go look at the bike....now I am concerned. When he returned I asked if there was a problem with the bike. He asked if it was mine. I wanted to say, "No I am just being nosey." "Yes", I replied. "Well he is trying to figure out how to take the tire off without having to take apart the whole rear end of the bike." I felt my face instantly go red. "That's still the old tire? That bike has been back there for almost an hour and a half. The last shop that put a tire on it had it in and out in just over and hour." The guy threw his hands up in front of him and said, "I just got here a half hour ago." What the HE{{ does that have to do with anything? I don't care when he got to work, I want to know why my back has been in the garage for almost 90 minutes and still has the old back tire on it. I went outside to calm down and walk around their building. Finally the bike is done and the mechanic is getting ready to test drive it, a process I completely understand. I watch him leave on my bike. I went outside and waited for him to return. When he pulled up on the bike I noticed one thing right away, his hands were covered in dirt and grease. Again I understand, he's a "mechanic", but show some common sense, wear gloves or at least go wash your hands. I should have said something but by this time it was almost 12:00 noon. After all of this was said and done all I got was a half hearted "sorry it took so long." Well, sorry you lost my business. RideNow has become such a large enterprise that I feel they just don't care about people anymore. It's all about the all mighty dollar and how many units they can push out the door. Customer service has become a thing of the past to them. If you ask several people that have dealt with RideNow, I can almost assure you that most will say that had a negative experience, yet this place manages to stay in business. I know many of my friends have also had bad experiences with this RideNow as well as many of the others and our money is best spent elsewhere.
