I'm sick, and when I'm sick I want candy. I don't know why. Maybe it's because it's a treat when I'm feeling down. For a brief moment I have joy despite this yucky head cold. And it is... joyful.
I've ordered gifts online before, but I've never been in this See's shop. It was spotless white and cheerful. The salesperson at the counter was kind. She asked me how I was and I said "sick". She smiled sweetly and gave me a caramel. I bet she's a mom.
She pulled out a bag and I picked out 6 or 7 white chocolates for the road. You pay by the weight there. I think I will need to pop in more often. I haven't dug into my treat yet. I'm waiting for my husband to get home so we can share.
I can tell you that See's isn't available all over the US. I ship to my parents in Michigan and they've just never had better peanut brittle or toffee. The caramels are always super creamy and it all tastes consistently fresh. I absolutely am a fan of the quality.
