| - Royce' is located in the Saint Marks Square area of the Grand Canal Shoppes, which connects the Venetian and Palazzo hotels. The store is white, bright and inviting. I love how everything is neatly displayed. They have sample boxes so you can see what's inside, as well as signs with a description and price of each product.
I really like that you can sample whatever you want, as much as you want. Royce' is famous for their Nama chocolate, which is rich and uber creamy. They have many flavors such as white chocolate, bitter chocolate, dark chocolate, gianduja (hazelnut & almond), and matcha to name a few.
I've had their chocolate covered potato chips before, which are kind of addicting. I didn't know they also have caramel covered chips; just as good.
What I also didn't know is they have other products such as caramels, thin chocolate squares, fruit bars, chocolate bars, wafers, and almonds. They might have others, too, but my memory is kind of like my bank account -- poor. = p
They didn't have fruit bars to sample but they sounded delicious - matcha, mango, and a list of other fruits were mentioned. Sorry...again with the memory.
The kirsch truffles and praline truffles were delicious. Surprisingly, I liked the matcha wafers better than the nama, but I really liked the gianduja. They have these matcha chocolate bars that kind of reminded me of kit kats. They had a crispy texture like rice puffs but maybe that was from the macadamia nuts. Whatever it was, it was delicious!
I do have to mention that Alex at this location was super friendly and extremely helpful! He did not seem impatient one bit while he was helping me, my family and another couple with our sample requests. He even made several suggestions of his own. He is the epitome of stellar customer service.
