  • RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN! I called Mike Murphy after a recent storm blew down a large palo verde in my yard. He came on short notice, which was great, and he righted the tree and secured it. Except in the process, one of the stakes he drove into the ground ruptured a main irrigation line. A few days later when I discovered what occurred, I called Mike and he said "not my problem". No apology, no attempt to make it right, nothing. Just "not my problem". A week after he secured the tree, it started leaning again and the ties he put on the tree are now loose. He said it was caused by wind after he secured it and that I would have to pay again to have him fix the shoddy job he did in the first place, for which he charged over $1,000. This man is rude, condescending, and takes ZERO responsibility for the quality of his work. He does not stand behind his job at all. He quoted me $2,700 to trim 17 of my trees! I called Tree Pros and their arborist - who is actually licensed as an arborist - quoted $1,700 for the same. Mike Murphy is NOT an arborist and is not licensed as an arborist, but he plays one in real life. Save yourself money and headache. Avoid this guy at all costs.
