Every time I come in to get my eyes checked there is a new part of the exam that isn't covered by insurance. Although the charges are never that high I always feel like I'm being up-sold. Last year Dr Kamons charged both my vision and my medical insurance for the visit and I do NOT have any medical issues directly related to my eyes.
Today I asked a question about the placement of the focus of my glasses (as I sometimes get migraines and my PCP just wanted this to be double-checked.) This resulted in her wanting to do additional tests (one at my cost) and her abruptly ending the exam when I told her no and that I will no longer be upsold.
I've gone to her for many years because she's a neighborhood business and I like to patronize my Regent Square folks, but I am now done.
Also, she installed a new auto-reminder system that called, texted, AND emailed me reminders to schedule an appointment-- a total of SEVEN times. This borders on harassment.
My lenses have been good, which is why I am giving her 2 stars rather than one.
