| - This was my first experience with Filipino food, and I'd say that it was a great place to start. My boyfriend and I picked this place for a change of pace from the stuff on the strip. We ordered 2 orders of the Shanghai Lumpia, Chicken Adobo, and Chicken Adobo Fried Rice. I was worried that two orders of the lumpia might be too much since they came with six pieces each. However, when I tried the lumpia, I did not want to share my order. They were deliciously crunchy and the filling was well seasoned and they came with a sweet and sour dipping sauce. I was anticipating them to be soggy after the 15 minute ride home, but they were still warm and crispy. My boyfriend had the adobo and he said that it was pretty good, but the sauce was too thin. When I tried it, it thought the chicken was a little dry, which also translated into the chicken in the fried rice. The fried rice dish on a whole was pretty good. It was made with short grain rice and green onions. It was tasty and came with two eggs on top. I asked for them over easy, but one of them must have broken and was overdone.
The restaurant was very casual and though our food took a while to come out, it was freshly made. The items added up and the bill ended up higher than I expected. It was a good meal overall and I look forward to trying more Filipino food.
