  • Just got back from a 3 night stay here. Overall, I liked it. I stayed there while it was The Quad and it was absolutely awful. But on my last trip we walked through as we were staying at The Flamingo and I was super impressed. I guess $223 million in renovations can really work wonders on a previously embarrassing hotel. Anyway, back to my most recent stay. We checked in online when we arrived at the airport (highly recommended), and dropped off our bags at the bell desk when we arrived at the hotel. Went to go pick up our room keys at 4:00 PM (Check-in time) and was told one of our rooms wasn't ready and that I could either wait for around 45 minutes for the room I booked or I could take a "Deluxe" room instead of my "Luxury" room (a downgrade). I asked if I took the downgrade would I be refunded the difference in price and was told they could put me in a room with a strip view and it would be the same price as the the upgraded room that I booked which was not available with a strip view even though that's what I booked. I've never understood places taking reservations for things they can't offer. Whatever... I was just ready to get settled so I just took the "downgraded" room. My friends I traveled with waited for their upgraded room. They literally had a view of a wall and not much else. The floorplan of their room was slightly different and their bathroom was slightly bigger, but there was absolutely nothing about the room that I would say justified a higher price. My advice: Save your money and just get the deluxe room. When the bell desk brought our bags up to our rooms they brought different bags to different rooms than what we specified, and weren't very apologetic about it either. We ended up just having to fix it ourselves. Things that might be of interest: *Rooms have mini fridges. *Rooms do not have bibles! :D *Rooms come with 2 (10 oz?) complimentary bottles of water a day. (for some reason they don't put them in the fridge, but on the counter on top of the fridge. Dumb.) *The room bathroom was really nice, but it might interest some people to know that the sliding door has no way of locking. *Great restaurants and bars here in the form of Hash House A Go Go and Guy Fieri's. Chayo was good too, but nothing really special about it. Check out 3535 bar for some interesting craft cocktails and Catalyst, I think was the name of their 24 hour flair bar which was also good.
