Had brunch at Lon's the day after Valentine's Day. The menu is not extensive, but the food is amazing. My wife had the crab cakes. They were made with virtually no - or no- filler at all. They were perfectly done and excellent. I had the steak frites. The fries were very good, the greens were beautifully dressed in a very lemony dressing, and the steak was one of the most flavorful I have ever had. The chimichurri seasonings were perfect and the chef prepared it a perfectly medium-rare, just as I ordered it. Service was spectacular - so friendly and so professional. We were so impressed that we cancelled a dinner reservation we had for this coming Friday just so we could go back to Lon's. As an aside, there were two children at a table next to us outside, and there is almost nothing on the brunch menu for kids. The server told the two that he could do anything they wanted, even plain pancakes with syrup on the side. I don't know what they eventually ordered, but I impressed that they offered to do "anything" for the children. The atmosphere on the patio was wonderful, as was the live guitar music. In all, one of the most memorable brunches we have ever had.
