I stumbled on this treasure trove today. The first thing that hits you is the glorious scent of the bakery, second is the warmth of the staff. They kindly explained the crafted sourdough base breads and the artisanal items also on offer, supporting local businesses. I ended up buying the special Ramp loaf, ramp spread and a salted fresh pepper product hailed as the best... from Cambodia. STOP THE PRESS. I literally had a FOOD ORGASM when I tucked into their food. I made abit of a sandwich with all their items (adding abit of chicken) and truly was awestruck by the sheer craftsmanship of it all. THIS is why we buy local. THIS is why its so worth exploring the streets of Toronto. This business is needle in a haystack find in what it delivers, how it delivers and in truly making a difference with quality, craftsmanship and integrity. THANK YOU!!!
ps RAMP is an ingredient i'd never tried and chefs clammer to use it in the most gourmet places (I've since read) and Prairie Boy served it in all its glory. Apparently its only in season for a blink of an eye. My tummy is still smiling. I'll be back! People you HAVE to go here, its sublime.
