| - My go-to grocer, especially in the winter months when I can't get fresh local produce.
Peter's No Frills is kept very clean, well organized, well stocked, and the produce is routinely as fresh as the more expensive markets in the area. In fact, I've got to say that I've generally found the produce superior to the nearby Loblaws and Metro.
My only criticism is that the meat department can be a bit sketchy, and they seem to go through a LOT of waste. Especially at the end of the week there's a noticeable smell of "turning" meat, and there are often large carts stacked with expiring packages. I appreciate that they're cleaning them up, but kind of feel like this should be done the night before, not the day of.
Still, their selection is excellent, especially their health food and organics sections -- impressive in a discount grocer. And since I only occasionally purchase meat, it's all good!
