| - I had high expectations for CPH. Great reviews, good menu and a hip vibe.
I see the potential but unfortunately it didn't live up to expectations.
Food: For starters we split The Original Chopped Salad. We weren't aware that it has Salmon mixed in it...and I cannot stand salmon...so I barely had it. My wife liked it though. Entrees - TRUFFLE GRILLED CHEESE (white truffle scented mashed potato, Emmental, melted onion, French bread, simple field greens) which was very oily and buttery. The bread was a little soggy and not toasted enough. FAIR TRADE SHORT RIBS (coffee rub, dried cherry bbq sauce, roasted parsnip puree & seasonal veg) did the job for my wife but I thought it was ok. Dessert - PEANUT BUTTER STRATA BAR
(white chocolate ice cream, strawberry jam, peanut butter crunch) was eh. PB was flaky not creamy.
Atmosphere - Loud and modern.
Service - Good, no complaints. The hostess did hook us up with a seat without having a reservation. We tugged on her heartstrings.
Prices - Expensive. I am all for paying for a great meal but if you add a couple of drinks your dropping bucks here.
I do admit if you want to go for a drink and be noticed, this a good place to go. Parking is bit tricky but we scored a spot a few steps away.
