  • I have to say that my experience with Vistek has been pretty disappointing. I decided to give their rental dept a try before the busy long weekend because Headshots (who are always super awesome) had rented out all the equipment I needed. After reserving the lens and external flash I needed, I took the TTC to pick them up only to be sent back home empty-handed because I didn't have my passport. I had my Kenyan national ID with me, which I have used at banks, airports, clubs, concerts, casinos and have never had a problem with using it as a piece of ID. I don't have a drivers license cause I live downtown and don't need a car. I felt totally discriminated against and this black and white rule really left a bad taste. I understand that they have these rules to prevent theft, etc but there is a point at which logic and customer service have to play a role. On top of everything, they are more expensive than headshots, provide no discount to part-time students, have less flexible hours and are located in a parking lot. They don't even give batteries for the external flash! Furious!! NEVER AGAIN!
