| - My A/C went out in my apartment and the apartment management decided to book a room at another motel nearby. I had no choice, but to stay there without checking it out first. There aren't a lot of good places nearby. It was terrible. Initially the repair was only supposed to take a day, but that got extended for another day (ended up being a few days). I refused to stay at the other motel and demanded to stay at a better place. I was sent here and was surprised. The check in lady was really friendly and helped me out with getting a form sent to the management company, so I could get the room paid for. Apparently, no one sent the proper documentation to pay for the room. On another note, I'm beginning to question my questionable choices with apartments...
The room was really clean and it had a nice TV with cable. That's pretty standard, but after what I experienced it was a relief. The room had some dated elements, but overall everything was in working order. Wi-Fi was really fast. I liked that there was a coffee maker in the room. I didn't like the coffee packets much, but they served the purpose. The breakfast was decent, nothing home to write about. It's nice that it was included. Location wise, it was good for me because it was close to my apartment. It's an older part near downtown, which has a lot of places to eat at. There wasn't much immediately nearby other than fast food. I had a car and I know the area, so I didn't have much of an issue with that.
I'm giving the place five stars because of Elvira (I think?) at the front desk for helping me out and also because this part of Chandler doesn't have a lot of decent options and this served my needs. One thing I'd advise is that you should keep the coffee machine on. When I checked in the coffee machine was turned off. Apparently it's only on during the morning.
