| - I've been to this sugar shack over two different years, one of them as a a school trip.
First thing I noticed was how big this place is! They definitely cater to groups, tourists and schools. It doesn't feel very family operated, more of that commercial feeling although it is a nice location and food is decent.
There's a mountain you can climb up for a hike right near by, tractor ride, a couple farm animals to entertain the kids. Inside there's also a large dance hall with a dj playing awful family friendly music or top 40 hits. Everyone is too shy to dance, you mostly see children and parents playing around.
As for the food, it's your typical all you can eat breakfast style assortment of scrambled eggs, ham, sausages, fried pig ears, donut holes and all the maple syrup you want. For around 20$ a person, plus tip, I find the price a bit much for that kind of food, but when you're visiting a sugar shack, you have the factor the experience in.
