Beware! I contracted a moving company to move my belonging from Las Vegas, NV to Connecticut. I was told it would take 7 to 10 days. After my goods were packed I was then told 21 days. I complained and ended up taking delivery 19 days later.
The driver attempted to extort money from us saying he could not get his truck to our house. He came up with several reasons why, but I called the police and after a short conversation with the police sergeant the driver delivered our belonging the following morning.
The driver refused to put our boxes in their designated rooms. He refused to follow protocol and check off boxes and wrapped items on the inventory list with the color coded stickers on the box. After several items came off the truck that were not ours I asked again to do the inventory inspection. He told me he had no time to do this and if I did not shut up he would leave and take my stuff with him. He refused to reassemble furniture, put furniture in the designated room and then told us it was against Federal Law to reassemble beds.
Furthermore, the company agreed to take empty boxes away on a verbal commitment. He refused to do this too. They left packing materials on furniture, did not remove shrink wrap, tape and other material as was contracted.
The mover was a bully and threating to me and my family.
I feel our contract has been breached and the company used false statements about the law and what our rights are.
