We took the Valley of Fire tour. Shanin was our guide and it was a great day.
We were picked up on time and the tour started immediately, with Shanin chatting about various Las Vegas points of history as we passed landmarks and headed to the VoF State Park.
We were especially lucky to hit the park after an unusual three days of rain. The colors were beyond vivid, the plants were blooming and the sky was still churning. After our several tour stops, my camera is exhausted.
We jumped in and out of the tour bus many times for quick vantage point visits. Seats were comfy, ride was pretty smooth and water was always available warm or cold. Rest rooms available at every stop, but beware if you have an active bladder - pit toilets in the desert are not awesome. When you hit the Info Center, which is fully plumbed: GO
Box lunch was pre-ordered and served at one of the pavilions.
This is a lovely, informative day. There were 10 of us, max for our vehicle - perfect size.
And what's not to love about a gigantic pink Jeep??!!
