I had huge and hopeful expectations having eaten at Peter Lugar's in Brooklyn, and other copycats (or whatever you want to call them) in Manhattan as well. I dined on a Weekend night, and was pretty surprised to find the place so quiet. Part of the draw of a good steakhouse for me is a vibrant atmosphere. My server Antonio was very good - very friendly and not overbearing at all. Drinks were very good - I guess they should be for $14. The bacon appetizer left a LOT to be desired. I expected more than a thick slice of burnt bacon. I think that app should be reconsidered for pork belly. Caesar salad was small and nothing special about it. Steak for two (porterhouse) was pretty good, but hardly worth the money. The chocolate mousse cake was ok for dessert. Nothing really overly impressed me about this place. I'll continue to go to City Hall/Mastros when looking for a high-end steakhouse in Scottsdale.
