  • DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. The employees are very dishonest. My car died in a parking lot and due to the age and mileage I decided it was time to sell for scrap. I called and made arrangements to meet a staff member from Calgary Scrap Auto Removal later that day. They kept me waiting about 30 mins longer than originally planned but did show up. They offered 50% less than quoted which I accepted because I just wanted to be done with the vehicle. They were not able to provide a bill of sale right then but I signed over the registration because I trusted the guy who told me it would be destroyed and the metal recycled. Sadly I did not think they could harm me in anyway since the vehicle was not running. I was wrong. About a week later I received notice from the Calgary Parking Authority saying my car was in their lot and I now owe them over $350 in towing and storage fees. I was shocked. Perhaps Calgary Scrap Auto Removal did not have the vehicle towed immediately or they just took what they wanted from the vehicle and left it for someone else to clean up? The Parking Authority towed it the next day and are now threatening me with a future inability to register any vehicle and an even larger fine. Calgary Scrap Auto Removal is pretending like they never heard of me and are unwilling to help. Buyers and Sellers BEWARE!! There are a lot of these types of companies out there. Use someone/anyone else!! I will continue to try and resolve with the owner. Shockingly, the employees have refused to provide the owners name.
