| - I live very close to the Dry Cleaners by JC mart. I have to say that I do really appreciate the convenient hours - they are open 7 days a week till very late, mostly because it's attached to the convenience store/sushi place, so it's opening hours sync with the convenience store.
That said, I've some very unpleasant experience with the place. In particular, I do not appreciate their inconsistent pricing. This one time, we dropped off 2 shirts and got a receipt, which clearly states the price $2.99 per shirt for laundry and press. However, when I returned to pick up the shirts, the owner (the wife) had REPRINTED the receipt with the amended price of $3.99 per shirt! I was appalled that they would change the price on the receipt without even telling me, but she insisted that the price for less than 3 shirts is $3.99, not $2.99. Even if that was the case, that is something that should've been communicated when I dropped off the clothes, and as well indicated on the receipt printed at that time. I obviously did not really care for a $2 difference for 2 shirts, but I was just appalled that they could do this to customers, especially since I was a regular! After making a fuss, she did eventually refund me the difference, but I'm afraid to say that this whole experience has really turned me off from coming to JC Mart Dry Cleaners. Queens Dry Cleaner on Queen and John is so much better. I would definitely walk the extra 5 min for superior service, cheaper price, and just overall better business ethics.
