This was our first time here and after hearing people talk about it we had high expectations. When you walk in you come into an overlook to the bottom floors. They have props from several concerts of a variety of musicians suspended from the ceiling. You then move on to pay and have your picture taken which will be sold to you for a package deal of $30 when you leave. Usually I am opposed to that, but the photos came out so nice that we bought them!
There were areas that wowed us and some areas that were so disappointing that we walked straight through. There are also several "theaters" where you can sit and watch old films of various artists. My favorite was the one of Dick Clark and American Bandstand. However, we didn't want to spend all of our time watching reruns of old videos that we could see some other time.
There was an area dedicated to Rolling Stone magazine. It was pretty cool. They had letters from Charles Manson and a variety of letters and forms signed by various artist's mother's to give permission for interviews. LOL
One floor has what they call a "cafe". While small, it offers so much more than a cafe! There are basic sandwiches, snacks, and drinks, but they also offer full meals such as meatloaf and they sell wine and beer as well. BTW, the meatloaf was very good!
All in all, I would go back, but not for many years. I'm happy to say that I've now been there, but I'll wait until another generation goes by and they have rotated their stock.
