  • We just finished getting approx 1600sqft of laminate from Az Flooring Direct. Initially, we were very impressed with how up front Justin, our sales guy, was about costs and their bid was much lower than other places we talked to. They even offered to come out that night to measure and give us a more solid price. Unfortunately, we hit a snag with them pretty quickly after signing the contract. First, Justin never called to let us know when they could start installing the flooring and I had to contact him. We decided that they would begin installation on a Monday since I would be off work. The installer had a small amount of tile to demo, about 200sqft, on Monday and then was supposed to start laying the laminate. I was informed at about 1pm on Monday that the installer broke his truck window and had to leave to fix it. So now instal got pushed to Tuesday. On Tuesday morning the installer called because he found areas where the concrete needed to be made level and needed someone out to the house to agree to pay more money to have it fixed. This meant me leaving work, losing money, to accommodate the installer when this should have been discussed the day prior when I was not working. When I attempted to call Justin, he was not reachable by his cell phone. Later, when I did speak to him he was very defensive and had multiple excuses. He kept saying that they would, "take care of me," I still don't know what that means. The installer was able to finish by Wednesday, which was great, but left a HUGE mess. He left the glass from his truck window all over the driveway and front yard. He used all of our paper towels, but I'm not sure what for since there was dust all over the counters, floors, etc. He also felt the need to turn my A/C to 70 DEGREES!! We also just had all of our bedrooms painted so all the doorstoppers were removed. The installer clearly didn't notice this and we found dings in all of the bedrooms walls from the doorknobs hitting the wall. He did a decent job on the floors, but I did find one low spot already. After it was finished, I attempted to contact "Scott," the owner, left a message for him to contact me, but never heard from him. In fact, no one ever contacted me to see if I was satisfied with my flooring at all. Although, they did seem more than happy to deposit the check that installer demand he have by the end of install. I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. We saved money, but it wasn't worth the headache.
