I didn't know if Bloom could improve on their Middleton location, but having the ability to sit down and enjoy your treats in such a beautiful setting makes a trip to Bloom even more magical.
Since Bloom's treats aren't new to me, the thing that's stuck out to me the most on my visits is the staff - they have got to be some of the happiest, friendliest, most welcoming people in Madison. I'm made to feel like an old friend the second I walk in the door, and that was true before I got to know some of them from repeat visits.
As for the raison d'ĂȘtre (aka the amazing pastry case), don't sleep on the salted caramel brownies. One of these days I'll actually get there in time to snag a sweet potato donut - I've heard nothing but raves. I recently tried a ganache cupcake that was beyond decadent and my standby raspberry rose cupcake never disappoints.
On a more savory note, the Cuban pressed pop tart is killer but I need a friend to share it with. Bloom doesn't mess around when it comes to butter in the pastry so half is perfect for me.
Make a point to get to Monroe Street and carve out some time to visit Bloom!
