  • I can generally say that I am not really a Starbucks kind of girl (I prefer Dutch Bros) but there are a few things that I just LOVE from Starbucks that I cannot get anywhere else. However, this location (ASU W.P. Carey School of Business) is the WORST ever!! I have come to expect certain things when I go to a Starbucks and this Starbucks doesn't come close to meeting the mark. The location is tiny inside but there is a lot of seating outside, which is fabulous this time of the year. But since most of the customers in there are students who are on break in between classes, I don't think they really need much seating inside. They have a great music selection just like all the other Starbucks in the world. The prices are moderate. They are not too expensive compared to other Starbucks around the ASU Tempe campus area. But they are more expensive than some of the neighboring coffee spots off of campus. Usually when I go to Starbucks I get the Blueberry Scone or Bagel and pay about $2-3. Every once in a while I get the Petite Vanilla Bean Scones which are 3 for $3 or $1.25 each. My favorite drink is the English Breakfast Tea Latte and it ranges from about $3-5 depending on size. The thing about this drink is that it is not common or ordered every day. I would say that it is probably ordered 1-3 times a month at most Starbucks locations. And I can definitely say that I am the only person who orders it at this Starbucks location and yet they still get it wrong every single time. It is a simple 4 ingredient drink; English Breakfast tea bags, simple syrup, hot water, and steam milk of choice. I'd say that 99% of the time I order it they have never heard of it. They look at me like I just asked for a specialty drink that Starbucks only has for a month or two. And when they don't look at me like that they end up just making it work. I work at a different Starbucks in the area and know for a fact that Starbucks has these great reference books with all the drinks that Starbucks makes. And that they drink I order is in that book, so why don't they look it up if they don't know it? Why don't they ask me what is it in when I order it? When I'm working at my Starbucks if I don't know what's in a drink that someone has ordered I ask. The fact that I have given this location multiple chances and they still get it wrong even when I go back and tell them that it is wrong. They once told me that I was mistaken about what was in the drink. Who says that? Isn't the customer always right? I don't go to this Starbucks anymore. I would rather go without or walk far off of campus. This particular Starbucks does not follow the Starbucks motto, "Assume the best in everyone."
