  • I have had hair extensions for twenty years. Even my profile picture is of me in Hawaii with extensions that my stylist purchased from Florida that looked beautiful after a day of scuba diving. I purchased the extensions from the Hair Shop during the last year for a change instead of having my stylist purchase it (she does not buy from this shop). This was new to me but fun to look at the hair. A week after purchasing the 707 hair and having it installed, it would knot up in a huge hair ball at the back of my neck. I contacted my stylist and the Hair Shop. Wendy was too busy to talk. After three weeks of now wearing it in a bun because it would immediately ball into a nest, I went into the shop on a Saturday to show the staff at the shop my hair. She suggested clarifying it, then using the magic spray with a warm straight iron. I did all of this.....the hair was even worse. I called Wendy again and endured a lecture on the phone. I ended up going to my stylist and having her cut my 18 inch extension short because I had a family event out of town to attend and could not go looking like I did. We retained some of the hair to have analyzed. I went into the shop again with the hair sample and to show how it was still balling up even thought short. All of my interactions with Wendy resulted in being lectured by Wendy. She accused me of having hormone problems, being on medications, water changes in Scottsdale.....God forbid that it was just bad hair. Finally after a grueling 1.5 hours in the shop, Wendy sold me more hair at a 30% reduction (she would later throw that back in my face how generous this was). I needed something because I was leaving in a few days for a month in Europe. Upon my return from Europe, Wendy called and said I could come in and look at the report on my hair. She claimed the hair looked perfect. I know when hair is bad...come on! When a head of new hair begins balling up the first week installed, it is not good. I used quality products, no heat tools on my hair. I told her I was done with her lectures and then she offered one bundle of free hair. I asked what I am going to do with one bundle, then she changed it to two bundles. Every chance Wendy got she would begin to lecture me again. Finally I said "enough". No free hair was worth this bullying manager. If buying hair....keep all receipts and if something wrong with your hair be prepared for a fight. In Wendy's eyes "the customer is always wrong".
