  • Okay so here are my thoughts on this aging big-box retailer. Back in its heyday, Best Buy was the place to go if you needed anything all electronics related. They had the best prices around and then all the sudden in came Amazon.com Forced with the choice to either reinvent themselves or fade into oblivion like other dinosaurs, see Blockbuster video for an example, the Best Buy executives figured this one out. I came in here over the weekend needing a new universal remote control for my home theater system. I wanted to take a look and feel different ones of my hand for comfortability. I finally settled on one, had no intention of buying though since Amazon offered it for much less. I asked the sales clerk, when will you guys start matching Amazon.com for prices. His answer was, we do now! After showing him the price on Amazon's website he gladly matched the price and I left giving Best Buy my money and not having to wait for it to be shipped from Amazon. Bravo Best Buy, you are back in business with me!
