rev:text	Hey grad/married/older/more mature students: need a habitable place to live on a college student budget but don't want to live in the middle of the noisy student scene? This is your place. The apartments are bare-bones with cheap fixtures, cheap carpet, cheap hardware, cheap appliances, and the like. And that's my only complaint. But for the rent they charge, you surely can't expect anything more than the most basic amenities. Plus you do get lots of things that you don't normally expect at this price point, such as: The heat works; the central air works; the hot water works; the coin-op washer and dryer work; there are no mysterious odors permeating the hallways; there are no foul critters scurrying about your unit (except maybe your roommate if you have one). And if anything in your unit stops working, the complex owners (Stan and Penny) or the maintenance honcho (Rick) will make sure it's fixed within hours. You will never need to hound them to get basic repairs done. Perhaps you're a little apprehensive about the neighborhood it's in? Don't be -- the complex is gated. Even so, the immediate area around it seems to be calm and mostly drama-free. Plus we've had very few issues with others who live in the complex, which is often not the case in a complex of this size and at this price point. Finally, the grounds have to be seen to be believed. The courtyards between the buildings are lush with mature trees, flowers, ground cover, fish ponds, bubbling bird baths, garden statues & sculptures, and hidden benches and patio furniture tucked away here and there to relax and enjoy. I've never seen a complex of this size type where it's actually pleasant and relaxing to walk around the grounds until stumbling upon Garden Courts.
