I stayed here when the Rangers were in town to play to Coyotes as I heard that the Rangers stay here....come to find out, they don't anymore. Oh well.
Overall, it's a pretty nice hotel with a welcoming lobby and friendly staff...and the lobby bar is pretty awesome. They also have a really nice outdoor area where you can relax and enjoy an adult beverage. The outdoor area has some fire pits and a bean bag toss, which is pretty cool.
The room was very clean and had some nice touches including a balcony with a table and chairs. My room looked right at the cardinals stadium, which was pretty cool...and off to my left I could see Gila River Arena. it was nice staying in a hotel that was within walking distance to Westgate where there's a Yard House, among other great stores and restaurants.
The only blunder here is that the staff kinda screwed up my reservation. I booked a 3-night stay and prepaid. For some reason they had me down as staying one night so that screwed up housekeeping and everything because they thought I was leaving after the 1 day. It took multiple phone calls and visits to the front desk to resolve this because I wasn't getting confident answers from people. Even though I prepaid, one of the agents made a comment that I was going to owe more money at the end because they were re-booking me at the current rate, which was $100 more per night than what I paid....so that was all very annoying.
I think I paid about $170/night for this place...and honestly I don't think it's really worth that much. I'm used to Vegas hotels, which are usually cheaper and WAY nicer/more up to date. Next time the Rangers are in town I'll probably check out one of the hotels across the street...I'd consider staying here again but only if it's significantly cheaper than what I paid.
