  • West Coast Movers just left my apartment in New Orleans. I moved from Las Vegas to New Orleans and so far I am not having a good experience with West Coast Movers. The cost was $900 + $50 "long walk" fee to my elevator. My shipment was 27 cardboard boxes each about 15-20 lbs. The problem was that only 23 of the 27 boxes arrived. I did not want to give the driver the money order until all the boxes were delivered, but during long phone calls to West Coast Movers, I was told "It doesn't work that way." Here is the deal: "You pay the full amount and then file an insurance claim for the missing boxes." That is the last thing I wanted to hear. Now, West Coast Movers are looking in their warehouse for the missing boxes, and checking with previous drop off locations to see if my boxes were accidentally delivered to the wrong person. West Coast Movers says if they find the missing four boxes they will UPS the boxes to me here in New Orleans. If that happens, I will get back on YELP and let everyone know how this turns out. Otherwise, be very careful with West Coast Movers.
